Declaration of accessibility

The Institute De Republica shall undertake to ensure the accessibility of the iderepublica.pl website and the BIP website of the Institute De Republica in conformity with Ustawa z dnia 4 kwietnia 2019 r. o dostępności cyfrowej stron internetowych i aplikacji mobilnych podmiotów publicznych (the Law of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities).

Declaration of digital accessibility

The website and BIP website of the Institute De Republica complies with the law on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

The declaration was made on 2021.09.07. The declaration is based on a self-assessment carried out by the public entity.

Both the website and the Institute’s BIP website have standard keyboard shortcuts, Tab navigation as well as functions for changing font size and contrast.

The Institute’s website is accessible in selected foreign languages.

In case of problems with the accessibility of the digital website for people with disabilities, please contact us. The person responsible is Marcin Łajca, e-mail address BAF@iderepublica.pl  The same method may be used to submit requests for access to inaccessible information as well as to lodge complaints about the lack of accessibility.

Everyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, a mobile application or an element thereof. Furthermore, it is also possible to request access to information in alternative forms, such as reading a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc.

The request should include:

  • data of the person submitting the request,
  • indication of which website or mobile application is being requested,
  • method of contact,
  • if the requesting person indicates a need to receive information in an alternative form, he or she should also specify the form in which the information is to be provided.

The public entity shall comply with the request immediately, no later than within 7 days. If this time limit cannot be complied with, the public entity shall inform the requesting party without delay when the request can be complied with, provided that this time limit is no longer than 2 months. If accessibility cannot be ensured, the public entity may propose an alternative method of accessing the information.

If the entity refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or alternative access to information, a complaint against such action may be lodged.

Having exhausted all means provided for, a complaint may also be submitted to Rzecznik Praw Obywatelskich (the Ombudsman).

Architectural accessibility

The Institute De Republica is located in Warsaw at 23 Belwederska Street (Belwedere Plaza), premises 1 (entresol), the entrance from Spacerowa Street, the access by lift.

There is one entrance to the building, which is adapted to the needs of people with physical disabilities, including those in wheelchairs, as well as those who are blind or partially sighted.

The Institute De Republica can be reached either individually (the car park in front of the building, in the paid parking zone; 100 metres from the main entrance there are two marked parking spaces for vehicles of disabled people) or by public transport.

Access by public transport: the bus stop SPACEROWA

The nearest taxi rank is located next to the Regent Hotel Warsaw (23 Belwederska Street)

The building can be entered with an assistance dog, guide dog or assisted person.

There are neither braille nor enlarged print signage for the blind and partially sighted in the building.

The reception desk of the Belvedere Plaza office centre is located in the lobby of the building. The reception staff will provide you with the necessary information and, if necessary, can show you the way or put you in touch with a specified person (contact the Institute’s employee responsible for assistance and physical aid).

There is a lift at the end of the lobby, to get to the Institute you need to select the signs A – the entresol. The lift is not equipped with a system to inform you when you stop at the entresol, there are also no braille signs in the lift. On level A – the entresol, in front of the entrance door to the Institute on the left, there is a videophone from which you can connect with the secretariat (the Institute’s reception).

There are induction loops at the office reception and at the Institute’s reception – for the hearing impaired.

It is the rule at the Institute De Republica that the employees collect their appointed guests from the Institute’s reception in person.

Visitors who have communication difficulties and therefore require contact assistance may be assisted by the Institute’s employee. In order to obtain such assistance, the person entitled to it should declare his or her need at least 14 working days before the scheduled contact date as well as indicate the chosen method of communication.
