Dr hab. Bogusław Kopka

Bogusław Kopka is a historian and a professor of The Zamoyski Academy. He has several decades of professional experience in public administration and higher education as well as in Polish science. He was a research project manager, Deputy Dean for Science, Head of the Chair of the Philosophy of Science, Sociology and the Foundations of Technology at the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences at the Warsaw University of Technology, as well as Deputy Director of the Military Centre for Civic Education (Wojskowe Centrum Edukacji Obywatelskiej im. płk. dypl. Mariana Porwita). He has edited and published 20th century documents and selections of sources. He is also the author of several scientific monographs “Konzentrationslager Warschau. Historia i następstwa” (2007), for which he received the KLIO award, as well as “Gułag nad Wisłą. Komunistyczne obozy pracy w Polsce 1944–1956” (2019), which was distinguished in the Janusz Kurtyka Award (2020).
