The contest “Become the Uprising Explorer!” – deadline extended!

The nationwide contest dedicated to the tradition of the Silesian Uprisings “Become the Insurgent Explorer!” due to the great interest has been extended! The deadline for submitting the works is 31 January 2022, the results will be announced and the prizes awarded by 31 March 2022.

The Contest is organised by the Instytute De Republica and Instytut Myśli Polskiej im. Wojciecha Korfantego (the Wojciech Korfanty Institute of Polish Thought) within the framework of the celebrations of the 100^th anniversary of the Silesian Uprisings 1919-1920-1921.

The Contest is divided into four thematic groups and is addressed to students of primary schools, secondary schools, educational institutions, cultural houses and centres, with the exception of the literary category, in which adults, non- students, may also participate.

• LITERARY CONTEST for students of primary school in grades VII – VIII, secondary schools and adult individual participants.
• ART CONTEST for students of primary school in grades IV-VI, VII-VIII and secondary schools.
• AUDIOVISUAL CONTEST for students of primary school in grades VII – VIII and secondary schools.
• PHOTO CONTEST for students of primary school in grades VII-VIII and secondary schools.

The contest works, together with the appropriate attachments, should be sent by regular post with the annotation: Konkurs „Powstania Śląskie”, to the following address: Instytut Myśli Polskiej im. Wojciecha Korfantego, ul. Teatralna 4, 40-003 Katowice, until 31 January 2022.
