Dr hab. Krzysztof Łukasz Szczucki
Krzysztof Łukasz Szczucki graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw (UW), where he obtained the PhD degree in Legal Sciences in 2014. Since October 2014, he has been Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UW, employed in the Chair of Comparative Criminal Law. Since 2016, he has co-directed the Centre for the Promotion of Polish Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UW. In 2009-2011, he cooperated with and then was employed in the Bureau of Research of the Chancellery of the Sejm (BAS). In 2011-2012, he taught social studies at Nicolaus Copernicus Bilingual School (XXXIII Liceum Ogólnokształcące Dwujęzyczne im. Mikołaja Kopernika) in Warsaw. In 2012-2013, he resided as a visiting scholar at Maurer Law School at Indiana University in Bloomington in the USA. In 2015-2016, he was employed in the Criminal Law Team at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (the Ombudsman). In 2016-2020, he was employed at the Law and Legal System Office of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. From February to August 2020, he was Deputy Director in the Legal Department of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Since September 2020, he has been the President of the Government Legislation Centre (RCL).
