The Silesian Uprisings 1919-1920-1921

The exhibition was prepared in cooperation with the Wojciech Korfanty Institute of Polish Thought and the Institute De Republica. It consists of 24 boards devoted to the history of the Silesian Uprisings. The boards are arranged chronologically – from information concerning the reasons for the uprisings to boards summarising the entirety of the Polish independence effort in Upper Silesia.

The exhibition is cross-sectional and presents the most important events, places and people who had a direct impact on the course of the uprisings. The text of the boards is prepared in three language versions: Polish, English and German.

The exhibition was presented during a scientific conference “The Centenary of the Silesian Uprisings. Upper Silesia yesterday and today”, which was held on 27 October 2021 in Katowice. The opening of the exhibition was attended, among others, by the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki.
